I have known Madison and Justin for years, and was lucky enough to photograph their sweet, laid-back, winter wedding. Madison and Justin met when they were fourteen, and that young love evolved for many years leading to their union on January 14, 2016. Justin forged their rings by hand with his brother in law, and Madison chose fragrant sage as their wedding flora. All of their wedding day festivities took place close by the Potomac River in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. To kick off festivities, they met their guests at Black Wall Hitch for a spirited cocktail hour. Then the entire group walked to the pier. Their mid-winter outdoor ceremony could not have been more perfect or unique. It softly rained, the river was calm, and birds flew by. Spirits were high, there was lots of laughter, and everyone was cozied up to loved ones. The rain grew heavier right at the end of the ceremony. The entire troupe grabbed umbrellas, and hurried to Il Porto for a lively dinner, merriment, and dancing. Congratulations Madison and Justin!
