Maya + Binit: Interfaith Mountain Wedding
Maya and Binit's Hindu-Christian fusion Wedding took place in the forest and fields of Montfair Resort Farm. The bride got ready in a sweet little cabin surrounded by her bridesmaid who sported their choice of floral gowns. Maya's gown was custom made to include special fabrics- a sari she had chosen, and lace from her Grandmother's wedding dress. Binit came dressed in a traditional sherwani for their first look. The two shared a sweet, tearful moment on the porch of the cabin. Then, Binit was whisked away for his Baraat- a traditional Indian groom's procession leading to the ceremony. The ceremony began with the groom walking down the aisle with his parents, followed by the bride walking down the aisle with hers. Led by Claire Frances- an interfaith minister- their ceremony included elements from both traditions- readings, meditation, blessings, and vows. After the ceremony was done and family photos taken, the couple joined their guests for a picturesque lakeside cocktail hour. Dinner took place inside the lodge as did heartfelt toasts, spirited dancing, and a joyful cake cutting. Maya and Binit's love for eachother is so apparent, and they brought together such an incredibly beautiful and diverse community to celebrate it. Congratulations Maya + Binit!

Holly + Pedro: MODERN CHIC DC WEDDING AT THE LINE
On April 7, 2018, Holly and Pedro had a historic wedding day. They were the first to be married at The LINE hotel DC. Their whole day was exquisitely modern from their skyline first look to their minimalist candlelit ceremony. Pedro is originally from Brazil, so their entire day filled with Brazilian-American fusion. Their cocktail hour brought the party into full swing with Bronson Tennis' Latin Band. After samba-ing and a tasting of multicultural appetizers, guests were invited into the ballroom to watch Holly and Pedro's first dance. Feasting, toasting, and dancing carried on into the incredibly elegant night. Holly and Pedro's day was unique, chic, and a joy to be a part of. Congratulations Holly + Pedro!

ASHLEY + DAVE: MAGICAL VEGAN BOTANICAL GARDEN WEDDING
Ashley and Dave were wed on a warm January day at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia. The bright sun and blustery wind brought vibrance to the winter landscape. As did the pair's style; colorful and unique like their personalities. Ashley's bridal style was bohemian goddess from head to Gold Toe Doc Martens, and Dave rocked his tux with his signature fully ringed fingers. I was in awe of beauty they both radiated. After their wedding walk, the ceremony started. Surrounded by a small group of family and friends in the exquisite atrium the couple pledged their life long love to one another. Both Ashley and Dave are coffee enthusiasts so for their cocktail hour they had a coffee bar by Caffe Amouri. Their vegan wedding dinner was Irish breakfast themed catered by DC Vegan. After toasts came the cake cutting with cupcakes provided by the famous Sticky Fingers Bakery. The bride and groom were sent off by excited family members with a cascade of bubbles. I absolutely love these two humans and wish them all the joy in the world! Cheers to Ashley and Dave!
CHLOE + THOMAS: MODERN BROOKLYN WEDDING AND EPIC AFTER PARTY
Chloe and Thomas were married on a beautiful October day in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their wedding day was an incredible gathering, bringing together their families from opposite sides of the country. On top of that, Chloe and Thomas had spent a year apart while Chloe was working on her Phd abroad. Guests gathered at AURORA, where Chloe and Thomas walked down the aisle hand in hand, surrounded by a magical ivy garden. Immediately after the ceremony, the reception was full of cozy embraces, laughter, and cocktails. Later that evening, festivities continued at the lively, Threes Brewing in Gowanus. Thomas- a musician rocked a song to Chloe just prior to the spirited cake cutting. The party continued with the power house Fruit x Flowers. This unique celebration was a dream to photograph. Cheers to Chloe and Thomas!!
ALICIA + ANTHONY: INTIMATE SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE WEDDING
When Anthony and Alicia asked me to photograph their Maine Wedding I was thrilled because it contained two of my favorite elements; it was like an elopement in the size, and by the sea! The two were wed on September 9, 2018 at the tiny All Faiths Chapel in South Portland, Maine. The whole day seemed like a romantic wedding of the past where everything was quaint, walkable, and beautifully simple. The groom and his family waited for the bride at the small chapel by the sea. Anthony's father gave Anthony a pocket watch that has been handed down from father to son for four generations. Alicia and her parents arrived, and without any pause the procession began!
The ceremony was performed by her sister, and 15 close family members were in attendance. After their vows were said and families hugged, Anthony and Alicia walked down to Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse to enjoy their first moments as a married couple. A double rainbow appeared without any rain (locally), which was incredible! The All Faiths Chapel had a little stained glass window with a rainbow over them as they were wed, so it seemed like magic was just following them. The two then took a little scenic walk over to their elegant reception dinner at North 43 overlooking the harbor. The night was filled with lively conversation, delicious food, and candle light. Their South Porltand wedding was so incredibly intimate and ideal; everything flowed with joy and ease. Congratulations Alicia and Anthony!

KATEY + CASEY: BOHEMIAN WEDDING IN THE BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS
Katey and Casey's wedding day took place in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia nearby Charlottesville at The Montfair Resort Farm. These two outdoor lovers camped and fished the night before their wedding. Then woke up in the beautiful mountains on their wedding day with their families. They kept the day simple and calm without any bridal parties or big to-dos. Their focus was on family, each other, and pure celebration. The dark clouds and light fog rolled in prior to the ceremony creating a magical setting for the ceremony. After the ceremony Katy and Casey took a little hike around the property, reveled in moment, and even took a ride in a canoe. The rain came after all the photos were taken; the couple and guests were cozy in the lodge for dinner and toasts. This wedding was absolutely incredible, and I am so grateful to have witnessed such a blissful union. Cheers to Katey & Casey!
CARI + ARI: COLORFUL JEWISH WEDDING
Cari and Ari were wed on a lovely summer's day at Fort Hunt National Park in Alexandria, Virginia. Every component of the celebration was beautifully unique. The bride's dress was handmade and dyed purple by Larimeloom, they were married under a rainbow chuppah, and the centerpieces were paper flowers lovingly made by the bride and placed in favorite beer bottles . They were joined in celebration by an intimate group of friends and family from all over the world. The merriment continued through the afternoon with lawn games, food, and beverages provided by The Cozy Caravan Club. I feel so lucky to have witnessed such an amazing couple celebrate in their own unique way. Congratulations Cari and Ari!
